Friday Fill-In 1/27/12

1. It's time to have our own compost bins.
2. No no no ... and don't forget the errands that I'll be doing tomorrow!
3. I'm trying to be patient and stay at the positive side but sometimes, people just eat them up.
4. "You're a good dancer", that was the last funny comment I received.
5. Please send me 2 or 3 costumes.
6. Tired cause I'm in it for the long haul.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to maybe have a dinner at the resto, tomorrow my plans include workshops in the afternoon and Sunday, I want to spend quality time with my husband and son!

What d'ya Think?

Of this? Nice right? I've been thinking of redecorating our terrace and voila, I found this photo online. This inspires me actually and I wanna convert mine to this. Ours isn't that wide nor very long but just an average size. On the other hand, I'm hesitating of doing it also because this is not our property and if we move one day, all these expenditures will be for nothing but this is really tempting me and our terrace is very dry. Hubby's telling me to look for Kangol Hats instead of looking at this photo all the time but what can I do? It's just so lovely.

Happy New Year 2012!!

Wishing everyone a prosperous New Year 2012!!!! May this year brings us good health, job, more love, peace and lots and lots of money and less disasters in this world.

Wow! Unbelievable and it's so fast. How's your New Year folks? Mine went well lastnight and even today. Celebrated it with my inlaws here at home despite of lossing my hubby's grandma who died last December 26 and was buried last Dec. 30. Life goes on even if everyone is still shocked of what happened.

On the other hand, I am happy that I was able to chat my family back home and saw them via skype. Seeing their smiling faces and saying thank you made me teary-eyed yesterday. It makes my heart melt that they appreciate my simple gestures for them. I can't wait to see them next year and that's the main reason why I work so hard coz I have so many plans for them when I get back home. I wish to accomplish these goals with the help of our Almighty Father.

Anyway, I was reading the prediction of an astrologist via yahoo and it says that I'll be lucky in the engineering field. Hmmm, I might try my luck and search for Network Engineer Jobs. This sounds strange but who knows?

Cake Or Cupcake?

Before I'll shop for plus size dresses for my online business, allow me to post this home-made chocolate fondant I made for my son's birthday last wednesday. Nothing fancy. Since we only had family dinner, I decided to baked him a cake instead of buying one at the patisserie which will cost me at leasts 50 €. His children's party will be this coming sunday and the place where I have our reservation will provide him his birthday cake. Parents will be around of course and I'm hesitating at the moment if I'll be serving them chocolate fondant once again or chocolate cupcakes only. Which is best? There'll be cookies, candies, mallows and some other stuffs of course aside from the birthday cake Raphaël will be sharing with his friends.

My Simple & Small Christmas Tree

I have my Christmas tree earlier this year. I bought it last week of November even if hubby was against with my idea. Here in France, people prepare to have their Christmas tree when December comes in. They always prefer to have the fresh one and not the artificial one. And as it is fresh, of course, the pine tree dies early too if you'll have it early. I don't really care if it dies early or not. All I want is to have it early and that's it to surprise my son. I had it for 19 € and it's really small. Decorated it in my own style. Raphaël was very happy when he first saw it of course. Mind you, I had to put it up twice because he likes to play with it and so the Christmas tree and the decos keep on falling down. Oh well, that's the life of being a mom. I have to explain things at him over and over until he understands even if sometimes, he'll try to explain me why he does it (in his own toddler language lolz).

So excuse me if my Christmas tree is not as beautiful as yours. It's tempting me to redecorate it once again while I'm looking for Howard medical computer carts. Shall I do it once again?

I'm Workaholic

It makes me feel good and more confident now that I'm starting to work. Earning your own money is completely different. You'll learn to value every single penny you'll have. Hubby's not selfish nor greedy. He always provides me anything that I want and need and he even gives me his card even if I have my own. I don't abuse his kindness. These last days, I really stick to my budget and follow what's in the paper. Would you believe that our monthly grocery is only 250 €? I told hubby that it will be better to really write down anything, that way, we'll be able to tract down our unwanted expenses. See? I'm more stingy now that I started working. It's just that it's too difficult to earn here yet too easy to spend 'em. I prefer to spend our money for my son's future like sending him in a private school even if people around us don't agree us. Talking about money, I shall check automated clearing house and maybe I'll find something interested for my income.

Christmas Tree Up

This morning, an hour before lunch. I had an errand at the center so I took the opportunity to get a small one instead of waiting for Ikea's fresh pine trees. I got ours for 19 €. The moment that I arrived home, I immediately decorated it (I'm a dummy when it comes to decorating Christmas tree)and placed all the gifts below. Hubby and Raphaël were both surprised to see it. We were supposed to decorate it the 3 of us but I had my bellydancing class this evening, plus I cooked pinakbet, ironed the clothes and etc. and thought that it will be too late for my son to wait for me 'till I'm back home. Raphaël has plenty of gifts, as usual. Next project, look for mens dress shoes for hubby. He loves shoes just like me :-).

Freezin' At Work

Grrrrrr! So cold at work. I work in the evening for an hour (other agency) and it's just so freaking cold outside even if I have layers of clothes already. Funny but no matter how cold the weather is and how many layers I wear, I have to wear my stilettos of course lolz. People around me always ask me if I'm not cold and my answer? "Yes I am but I don't really care as long as I'm wearing my heels" hahahahaha. This has to end so soon when winter comes in and of course and with rv repair. For the moment, I can still manage it. Because of this, I always have free tickets my clients for the different concerts and theater shows. Lucky girl.
