Ticket Reservation using PAL's Site

I was pissed off when I made an online reservation using PAL's website. As I am responsible for the tickets for our upcoming flight this coming january, I prefer to reserve our tickets in advance but with PAL, their site is always down. I don't understand why. I've been trying to do it since last week until yesterday afternoon but because I found it too much, I decided to give them a call instead (long distance). Yeah, I made a reservation by calling their 24 hours customer service and did the reservation by having a long distance call. It's such a hassle because I had to wait for someone to entertain me for almost 30 minutes. They told me that maybe my credit card is something that's not accepted in their program. What??? That's unbelievable because I'm having visa and as far as I know, it works everything in this world. Told hubby that maybe I should submit for a new credit card application at the bank but he sees no connection at all between PAL and my card. He's right and I'm hoping that PAL's site will be more user-friendly.

Foggy Thursday Morning

This was something that surprised me this morning when I opened our windows. It was foggy yet it was 10 in the morning already. Now, it is only 9 degrees celsius outside but sunny and to think, we're still in automn. Strange but it only shows that winter will be here very soon. Everybody's wearing their winter outfits already and simply disregard automn. People are using their respective gloves when out and even a bonnet. Unbelievable! I on the other hand is still using my ballerin shoes. I guess I have to put it inside the close and adopt the temperature as I don't feel really that good this morning. I was feeling like I'm going to have a fever or colds but I hope not. Voila! Here's the pic that shows how foggy it was here this morning.

This coming weekend, it's expected to snow as temperature will e -1. I'm excited as it's strange for bordeaux to be snowing.

Ski Season Coming

Tant pis!

Must be beautiful up there when it's sunny *grin*

Last weekend was spent à Lourdes. It wasn't exactly in the plan but I did told my husband that I'll be going there by myself without him if he's not interested. I scared him I guess coz I was really searching for TGV tickets (back & fourth) and even told him how much it cost. Goodness! The tickets are very affordable. The cheapest one was 20+ euros and the most expensive I found was 30+ euros. After telling this to my husband, he then decided that he'll be coming with me and searched for a hotel there without any hesitation lolz. Anyway, the weather at that time wasn't good but people kept on flocking in and out. It was freakin' cold but it didn't stopped anyone even me! On our way back home (sunday), we were thinking of going there in Pyrennees for me to see how it is there and the ski stations but unfortunately, we didn't managed to do it because it was foggy, the roads are going up and was raining. But despite of that, it's very obvious everywhere that the mountains are filled with ice now and soon, people will be skiing. Voici the proof (taken while hubby's driving & I taking photos)

Building A House In Philippines

What's making me busy these last days? Browsing for country-side house plans :-). It's my aim to build a nice house on that empty lot I bought last year. It's a long-term investment and I want it to be really perfect, a place that I can call my home in Philippines. I want the modern style while hubby prefers country-side designs. Country-side houses are not bad as well because it's good in one's eyes and it's simple yet elegant at the same time. We both saw several designs last night but no final decision yet but at leasts, we now have an idea as to how it will be. The partitions and everything will be my idea. I'm starting to draw my own plan inside of this house and how I want it to be like how many bedrooms, toilet and bath and etc. Now the question is, do you guys hired an architect or an engineer when you have your house constructed? How much did it costed you? Are permits required? Insurance necessary?

Finally In NY!

It feels really good when somebody thanks you because of the small gesture you've done for her/him. A friend of mine thanked me many times since monday because her moving going in New York went very smoothly. She's in NY at the moment unpacking her things together with her bf. She's very content and happy that her entire belongings are very well-intacked especially her fragile itemss. Good thing that this New York Moving Company that I recommended her really works! I was hesitant to tell her at first to call this moving company I know because I haven't tried it but after giving them a call, she and this company managed to understand eachother well.

Manic Monday #140

How many hours of TV do you watch per week? Do you feel that's too much, not enough or just right?
- how many hours? 10 hours total I guess per week. I don't find it much but moderate. I watch the news and after that, I do multitasking like blogging and listening what's being said on the tv at the same time. I'm training my ears for the french words and accents and as much as possible, I don't watch but listen instead.

Which of the 5 senses do you feel is your strongest sense?
- taste? hehehe Hubby always tells me that I've got luxurious taste than him. Don't have any idea why he said that.

What's the wackiest belief you held as a child?
- wackiest? Hmmmm I can't think of any
