Cake Or Cupcake?

Before I'll shop for plus size dresses for my online business, allow me to post this home-made chocolate fondant I made for my son's birthday last wednesday. Nothing fancy. Since we only had family dinner, I decided to baked him a cake instead of buying one at the patisserie which will cost me at leasts 50 €. His children's party will be this coming sunday and the place where I have our reservation will provide him his birthday cake. Parents will be around of course and I'm hesitating at the moment if I'll be serving them chocolate fondant once again or chocolate cupcakes only. Which is best? There'll be cookies, candies, mallows and some other stuffs of course aside from the birthday cake Raphaël will be sharing with his friends.

My Simple & Small Christmas Tree

I have my Christmas tree earlier this year. I bought it last week of November even if hubby was against with my idea. Here in France, people prepare to have their Christmas tree when December comes in. They always prefer to have the fresh one and not the artificial one. And as it is fresh, of course, the pine tree dies early too if you'll have it early. I don't really care if it dies early or not. All I want is to have it early and that's it to surprise my son. I had it for 19 € and it's really small. Decorated it in my own style. Raphaël was very happy when he first saw it of course. Mind you, I had to put it up twice because he likes to play with it and so the Christmas tree and the decos keep on falling down. Oh well, that's the life of being a mom. I have to explain things at him over and over until he understands even if sometimes, he'll try to explain me why he does it (in his own toddler language lolz).

So excuse me if my Christmas tree is not as beautiful as yours. It's tempting me to redecorate it once again while I'm looking for Howard medical computer carts. Shall I do it once again?

I'm Workaholic

It makes me feel good and more confident now that I'm starting to work. Earning your own money is completely different. You'll learn to value every single penny you'll have. Hubby's not selfish nor greedy. He always provides me anything that I want and need and he even gives me his card even if I have my own. I don't abuse his kindness. These last days, I really stick to my budget and follow what's in the paper. Would you believe that our monthly grocery is only 250 €? I told hubby that it will be better to really write down anything, that way, we'll be able to tract down our unwanted expenses. See? I'm more stingy now that I started working. It's just that it's too difficult to earn here yet too easy to spend 'em. I prefer to spend our money for my son's future like sending him in a private school even if people around us don't agree us. Talking about money, I shall check automated clearing house and maybe I'll find something interested for my income.

Christmas Tree Up

This morning, an hour before lunch. I had an errand at the center so I took the opportunity to get a small one instead of waiting for Ikea's fresh pine trees. I got ours for 19 €. The moment that I arrived home, I immediately decorated it (I'm a dummy when it comes to decorating Christmas tree)and placed all the gifts below. Hubby and Raphaël were both surprised to see it. We were supposed to decorate it the 3 of us but I had my bellydancing class this evening, plus I cooked pinakbet, ironed the clothes and etc. and thought that it will be too late for my son to wait for me 'till I'm back home. Raphaël has plenty of gifts, as usual. Next project, look for mens dress shoes for hubby. He loves shoes just like me :-).

Freezin' At Work

Grrrrrr! So cold at work. I work in the evening for an hour (other agency) and it's just so freaking cold outside even if I have layers of clothes already. Funny but no matter how cold the weather is and how many layers I wear, I have to wear my stilettos of course lolz. People around me always ask me if I'm not cold and my answer? "Yes I am but I don't really care as long as I'm wearing my heels" hahahahaha. This has to end so soon when winter comes in and of course and with rv repair. For the moment, I can still manage it. Because of this, I always have free tickets my clients for the different concerts and theater shows. Lucky girl.

So Soon

Christmas will be very soon already. So fast!! I'm prettyy sure that people in PI started decorating their respective houses already with their faovrite Christmas decors and started wrapping their Christmas gifts too for their loved one's. Haay, I miss that kind of Christmas spirit and the Noche Buena and the Christmas carols. How I wish we have that here in France.

Home Sick Again

I'm missing my family back home and all I wanna do is to breathe and see my country, kababayans and my family in the next weeks. I wish it happens but this will be impossible. Airline ticket is expensive of course. Hayyyy :-(. If only we're rich, but unfortunately, we're not. My son is adjusting the new season too. I'm telling you, he, himself, hates wearing too many clothes at the same time especially wearing his coat. Poor baby but he has to. Another thing is, all these expenses here left and right are wearing me out. It's too hard to earn the money here but so easy to spend it. Tightened the budget more but no changes at all. France sounds a beautiful country. Yes, it is but only for vacation. It's too expensive to live in here especially if you're income is small. Oh well, that's the way how life is here. Good thing I have my small sideline from friends where I'm earning a little. Everytime a friend asks for psoriasis products, it allows me to have something in my savings in PI

Almost Done

Wow! I'm back once again. Been so busy these last days and I'm not done yet. Painted the living room and our bedroom and I have to remove those unwanted paints too. We changed some of our furnitures that we got from Ikea. Living room is almost finish, next will be our bedroom. Would like to install a plasma tv there because I can't touch the remote control when hubby's watching football. We'll have to change our bed too and our dressing. That's what's new with me. My son on the other hand is able to adjust in his new environment with his nanny. So far, so good. I have been so demanding to my husband these last days when it comes to the house. I hate clutters frankly speaking. So I do think, I shall reward him 2 or 3 designer clothes for men that I saw at the factory store :-). I'll post some photos soon when I'm completely done with my projects :-).

1st Day With Nanny

Woke up so early this morning because today will be my son's first day with her nanny (nanny's house). I doubled check his bag to really make sure that he has everything that he'll be needing. It feels strange and I'll surely be missing him. He's still sleeping right at this moment and a part of me wanted to cry already. Oufff! Oh well, this will help him as a preparation for school next year. I, on the other hand, must really look for a serious job once my son will be staying the entire day with his nanny. Serious means finding a white collar job. Ambisyosa! A friend even told me why not look for Tester Jobs around. For the mean time this week, all I want is to concentrate with my son and make him feel that everything's gonna be fine, will miss him and will pick him up in the afternoon as promised.

Skywatch Friday June 8

Here's my entry for today's Skywatch Friday. This photo was taken 2 years ago in Club Serena Resort. I miss this place really. Very tranquille, good place, good food, good people and very relaxing place to unwind. In the morning, watching those bangkas and fishermen was my favorite thing to do. Will surely be coming back there again next year. Voila! I work now and look for raleigh commercial litigation lawyer instead of dreaming.

It's Tempting Me Again

Shoes! Shoes! Shoes! It's calling my name once again and I'm trying to control myself not to purchase even just a pair. Grgrgrgrgr! It's demolic! I'm eyeing for that Guess shoe above since last week already. I'm really dying to have it because it's on sale and hubby told me to buy it if I want it. Hmmmm, there are more important things than that and do I really need it? LOLZ. That's the question I always ask myself until now. It's just so tempting. Simple but very elegant. Perfect for any outfit. Haaayy, maybe I shall focus my attention to diet pill that works that a friend wants me to research instead of looking at that shoe. Good excuse eh?

Rechargeable Batteries

Do you know that rechargeable batteries exist? If not, then now you know. It's just like an ordiary AA or AAA or any other small batteries that you always see with brands like Energizer, Philips and etc. The good thing about rechargeable batteries are that it's earth-friendly and cheaper. You'll just have to charge it when it's lowbat instead of throwing it. So yes, it's earth-friendly. FYI, batteries must be thrown in a proper place (in case you are using the ordinary one). The components within are very dangerous to nature that's why, be careful and pay attention when throwing it. Better to carry it in the store where you bought it because they have a special container for all the batteries. If I were you, I'd rather use rechargeable batteries.

Messy House

Yes and my ironing table is broken. I ironed several clothes earlier and the table felt down accidentally on my knees. Hubby tried to fixed it but no miracles. What happened next? I did my cardio instead. Goodness, I just noticed that we have so many unused stuffs in each single room. Hubby's not even using his Nintendo Wii for a long time already. I might sell it also via ebay or facebook. Let's see. I'm segregating the items for vide grenier this coming september. I have to do it.

Charge To Experience

All I want is to eat these Brownie Pops now as in NOW. I'm hungry and I'm craving for sweets. I just had an apple yesterday for dinner and 1 banana this morning (brunch) before we danced at the Garonne so I'm kinda shaking and hungry at the moment. The show went out well. My friends said that I looked stressed hahahahha. They're right though. I was shaking when I first heard the music and was wishing that I wouldn't miss anything. Oh well, that was my first time infront of the public as in PUBLIC. Charge to experience though.

9 basic rules in disciplining children

I was reading abs-cbn site and found this article:

1. Know your child. Establish a close relationship with your child as early as possible. Find out her hobbies, her likes and dislikes, and the people she hangs out with.

2. Model good behavior yourself. If you want your child to knock first before opening a door, make sure you do the same thing.

3. Keep your child busy and physically active. Be creative. Children, just like older people, do not like taking orders.

4. Allow your child negative feelings. Tell your child that she also has the right to feel angry and frustrated, but emphasize that there is a proper way of expressing those feelings. Encourage her to do something productive, such as painting, dancing, or playing a musical instrument.

5. Teach emotional vocabulary as early as possible. Use your words, not your hands. Recognize your child's feelings by saying, "I know that you're angry or upset" before telling her what should or should not be done. Make her feel that she is not a bad person, but someone who has not behaved correctly in a particular situation.

6. Consistency is key. Never give in to your child's wants just because she threw a tantrum. Positive discipline is not about spoiling your child but about learning to stand your ground.

7. Make your consequence a teaching moment. Punishments should be aimed at making your child realize the consequences of her actions and take responsibility for them.

8. Praise good behavior. Be the kind of parent that your child can talk to, not one who would just scream at her when she does something wrong.

9. Do your level best. Cut yourself some slack and let your child know that even Mommy sometimes makes mistakes.

For Apero

Oppps, it's almost 12 midnight and I'm still infront of my lappy. I have to prepare these for apero tomorrow night. It's easy to prepare though but the spices are kinda difficult to prepare. It will be my first try to I hope that my guests would at least love any of the flavor. Aside from that, tomorrow will be a busy day for me and I guess my kiné will forbid me to move much. Oppps! One last job, surf for seo elite reviews then I'll go to my kitchen. Happy weekend everyone

Make It A Priority

Stress and fatigue are two main reasons why pimples pop up last 2 days ago. Grgrgrg! I forgot to washed my face and took off my make-up so I ended up sleeping without cleaning my face. I was so tired from my errands left and right that I just went to bed immediately the moment I brought my son to his bedroom. See? I am not a good example so don't follow me. No matter how tired you are, make it a priority to at least wash your face with soap and water and moisturize it. There are acne home remedies of course to the rescue like ProNexin but good hygiene is still advisable. Agree?

Friday Fill-In May 20, 2011

1. I see ants at the terrace and found it disgusting.

2. When I can't find the right answer, all I do is (my head) scratch.

4. I live life to the fullest and that has been my view so many years earlier.

6. Burger and fries for dinner.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to submit my assignments, tomorrow my plans include my kiné appointment and Sunday, I want to maybe go to the beach!

Another Costume

Our gala is getting closer. It will be this June 26. Rehearsal is getting more and more srious and etc. Some of the choreographies are not finish yet but we're working at it. Hopefully before the month ends, we'll be able to finalize them. In my case, I'm also practicing here at home when I'm free. Bought another costume that I'll be using for the classic choreography. For khalegy, no idea yet if our prof will be the one who'll provide us or vice versa. I washed this new costume yesterday and it looks better now. When I received it, it looked dirty and greyish. Now, I would say that it's white. Before I'll go for POS systems, what do you think about it? I mean my costume? I have 2 now so I'm hesitating if I'll use this one or my old one. I mean, I'd love to wear this of course but no idea yet as to how my prof would react when she sees me with this :-).

Bellydance Superstars Show

Petite Jamilla with her double veil performance
April Rose

Meera dancing bollywood

Sorry! Late post once again. I was supposed to post the photos a night after the show but I was so busy and forgot these shots. Excuse me folks.

These shots were taken by one of the students that I once knew at school. It was forbidden for us to take some pictures and video the show so majority of the spectators simply watched the show. I asked this friend kindly and told her that I'll be happy if she could send me 2 or 3 shots of the show. Good enough that she instantly said yes. Geraldine, thanks a lot. I owe this to you.

Bellydance Superstars Show here in Bordeaux was so perfect and professional. The techniques, choreographies, deplacement, outfits, dancers and the entire presentation were really thumbs up. I couldn't say anything bad. I was speechless.I even saw one of them wearing masonic jewelry and she carried it so well. All of the dancers are beautiful and they're good to look at while dancing especially that all of them are always smiling. Take note, they're so petite too. Their costumes, oh la la la la! Lovely!

For you My Friend, Acne Treatment

Darling, here's the site I told you where you'll find reviews of the different adult acne treatment. If you'll see at their site, Pronexin is on the top list. I haven't tried any of these products yet but if you'll see the reviews, it will help you decide which treatment you think will be right for you. That's the only thing that I could tell you though. Lemme know how it is once you've tried it.

+1 Hour

... that started yesterday morning and I was in bed the entire night. Why? Hmmm, ok, my ladyfriends and I went to the disco and I went back home at 6 in the morning already. So sunday, was a sleep day for me. Good thing that hubby took good care of my son and took my rule while I was in bed. Yeah, that's how kind he is. +1 hour certainly means that we lost 1 hour. Meaning, instead of waking up at 6 am (normal time), it's actually 7 am at present time. Raphaël and I were having a hard time for that this morning. Both of us woke up at 10 am (that was supposed to be 9 am normal time). Complicated isn't it? This also means that Pinas and France has 6 hours time difference so it's easy for me to remember the Pinas time. Voila! Oh, do you gals would pls recommend me an effective blackhead removal. I need a very good one really.

Dutch Cigars

Received a delivery today and inside the cartoon are 2 Dutch Master cigars. Goodness it smells so good. A friend of mine that I met online sent it to me. No idea why though lolz. I like how it smells but no no no no, never it exsited in my mind to try them. Hubby doesn't smoke cigars also so we might give it to someone else. To whom? No idea yet coz I know nobody who loves cigars. Picture above is the one I got.

Earrings Addict

...yes and that's absolutely me and nobody else. I got this at the Casino when I watched the Bellydance Superstars show last wednesday. The plan was supposed to be to look for a costume but since they were not selling, I got these for myself instead. I love big things in life especially big earrings :-). I feel beautiful and sexy when wearing it (feel lang ha). Bellydance Superstars had many beautiful things but jezzz, my budget was so limited that I had to chose 2 items only. Too bad. How do you find it? Off to look for petroleum hose now fellas ****mwaaaahhh****

Redeco

Guess what? I finally managed hubby to buy me some of the things that I need in redecorating the house. Last week, I bought a rectangular mirror, pailles and a huge jar for it which are all intended for the hallway. I only need a beautiful painting to hang at the wall and luckily, there's one that I love so much. For the dining room, I wanna change our dining table, dining chairs and to place this beautiful murale decor also. This decor is quite pricey 119 euros so I am still saving for that. For the bedroom, hubby and I finally agreed on 1 thing. It was too complicated for us before because he had his color preferable and I had different one also. Yeah! We discuss things and I keep on encouraging him and look for a way until I'll finally convince him. In the next days, outdoor lighting fixtures will be up :-).

Very First Carnaval

First carnaval experience I have today and also for my son. Without him, I won't be able to socialize like this. Seriously, my agenda has changed when I became a mother. I meet more people now and attends the different activities here (mostly of them are for the kids). Talking about this carnaval, it's like a Sinulog for me. The differences are: less participants, less people for each team, less mascots. The noise and the crowd are absolutely the same like Sinulog. Hayy, I'm missing back home. Son had his tiger make-up and I was only wearing a bunny headband. No costume for me. For carnaval, kids wear their favorite Disney characters and adults have their own déguisement also.

Meet Toxo

Meet our residence's cat. His name is Medicis (the name of our residence) but I call him Toxo. During my pregnancy, my ob told me not to touch any cats because they carry toxoplasmos and from that moment on, I call him Toxo until now. Only me calls him that name and does his meow when I call his name. No idea if he's angry or what but I just love calling him that. He's nice and sweet and loves to carress my legs when I'm around. Based from our guardian who gave us the infos, Toxo has been living here for more than 6 years already so he's kinda old. He loves to sleep on the top of the car and I'm telling you, he has luxurious taste. He sleeps on the top either of these cars: porche, BMW or Ferrari. No idea if our neighbors are angry everytime he does it or if he scratches the cars but himself doesn't mind at all. Voila! Time to buy fat burners now then I'll go to bed.

Tuesday Is.....

...a busy day for me. Dancing lesson, went to the bank, went to the post office to ship my clients' orders and ironed layers of clothes. Haay, that's my tuesday life and it's not finish yet. If only I could turn on my button to be active once again, then, I should have done that earlier to energize myself. I really need it. Seeing those tons of clothes waiting for me make me tired already. Poor me. How I wish I am as powerful as the honda snowblowers :-).

3D Television

Do you guys know that 3D television now exist? What do you think about it? It's the trend now and there are 2 samsung 3d tvs that I'm eyeing to have. Our flat screen is kinda small for our living room. I'd like to transfer it in the bedroom and purchase a bigger one for the living room. Oh well.

Karaoke Time

That's what I wanna have here at home as an ice breaker. Boring idea isn't it? But better than to have nothing at all. Since pinays love to sing, I was thinking that this will be a great idea. I do invite them here at home from time to time together with their husbands just to have good times together. I'm thinking of purchasing the Magic Sing microphone that I saw online but the problem is, they don't ship it abroad. Hmmmm, I'll look for a way and maybe this thingy is available via amazon.

CV Everywhere

Oh well! Life has been so busy for me in searching for a job. Today, I went at the center around 9 in the morning to submit my CV everywhere. So now, I'll be famous because of it. Seriously, I really wanna find a job, meet new people, practice the language more and socialize. My son started socializing also to the other kids at the halte-garderie and the moment we entered the room, he doesn't even notice me or hugs me but immediately approach the other kids and give them a smile. I am happy that he's building his own self-confidence without us around him all the time. Though we always explain him that we're just behind him, I do guess that he understands it that mama and papa will always be there for him no matter what. Oh! Aside from job hunt, mattresses will soon be updated here at home.

Hoodia

Do you know that one of the most popular diet ingredients is hoodia? Hoodia is a dessert plant, same family as the cactus, and is also a herbal supplement. Leslie Stahl was the first one who discovered it. She tried it, tested it and found out that she was not hungry or thirsty the entire day. That's how diet pills started and why hoodia is use in the different diet pills. Try to follow and click here for hoodia infos.

Dog & Cat Lover

I am a dog lover and cat lover at heart. Back in PI, I had at least 2 cats at home and a dog. I still wanna own one here at home but I'm scared on the other hand. Scared because my son is everywhere in the house and I'm scared that he might scratch or hurt the dog and in return, the dog will be biting him. That's my biggest fear. Hubby told me though that dog training is there but I'm still thinking about it. The other thing also, hubby doesn't like small dogs because for him, thhose are RATS! Oh well!

Stretchmark

Waaaa! Stretchmar! This is one of my biggest problem at the moment. I've been using a special lotion during my pregnancy, after pregnancy and even until now but nothing changes. At my dancing class, it's very possible to see them clearly and easily. I tried to apply on a concealer and a powder but the changes are not that much. Maybe I should listen to a friend who said that stretch mark cure exist and is absolutely possible. I wish! I wish!

2011

How's your 2011 so far my dear friends? Hope all is well and started the year right. Unbelievable isn't it that we're almost in the middle of January and soon will be February already. So far so good in my case. Started searching for a job and my son will be staying for 1 day at the halte-garderie in the next days. He'll be staying there for 30 minutes within this week for him to be able to adjust a little bit and I'll be with him the entire time. Next week, he'll be there for 1 hour (30 minutes alone together with the other children and I'll pick him up after 30 minutes). Thinking about this makes me paranoid already. Paranoid in a sense that it will be very strange for me not to hear his voice or not seeing him around when the time comes that he'll be staying there the complete day. It's breaking my heart already but it's for the best for 2 of us. I'll be able to look for a job, submit my CVs and maybe have my entretien whoever will be interested to hire me or maybe do the grocery. I'll surely be bringing my notebook computer next week with me all the time that way I won't get bored and will be able to post photos immediately once I'll find good deals.
